Males only at maturity have Palpal bulbs and Tibial Hooks
not all mature males get tibial hooks but all mature males get palpal bulbs so checking for hooks is only a secondary way to confirm mature males
Focus more on checking palpal bulbs as all mature male tarantulas get them
Palpal bulbs are also referred as "boxing gloves 🥊" in the hobby due to them looking like boxing gloves on the pedipalps of mature male tarantulas
